Why I Ride: I'm doing something I love in honor of people I love to fight something I hate: Alzheimer's disease.
Although my mother was in the early/mid stages of the disease when she passed away of COPD, looking back I can see how Alzheimer's was steadily taking away the joy of her last few years of life.
A few years ago, it took the life of a brilliant and beloved woman, my wife's Aunt Sandy. My Uncle Joe currently is fighting the disease. And I know too many others who've lost loved ones, as well.
I will ride for all those affected by Alzheimer’s, the more than 5 million Americans living with this disease, and the 16 million family members and friends who provide them care.
I will ride because I believe in science and the possibility of a cure. And I want to do something to help find it.
Thank you for any support you care to give.
