Why I Ride: I am participating in the Ride to End ALZ this year because I am determined to go the distance for all those affected by Alzheimer’s: for my dad who we lost far too soon to Early-Onset Alzheimer's just days after his 67th birthday. For my mom and my sister and my brother and myself and our kids and grandkids and all of your family and friends who you may have lost or who may suffer in the future.
Alzheimer's is slow and all-consuming and terrible and needs to be stopped. Research can solve this problem and *research costs money*. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 6 million Americans living with this disease, and the over 11 million family members and friends who provide them with care. I am also inspired by science.
Right now, there is no shortage of ideas in Alzheimer’s research — only dollars. Which is why I am asking for your support. I am participating in the Ride to End ALZ, a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where *every single dollar* raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Please help if you can, with your dollars or your shares. Millions of families thank you for whatever you can do. Thank you for cheering me on.
