Why I Ride: Bicycles are freedom machines! They connect us to the environment, economic opportunities, and good health. Alzheimer's disease is devastating and has affected my family and friends in many ways. I am determined to go the distance to support the science for all those affected by Alzheimer’s. I am inspired by the strength of the more than 5 million Americans living with this disease, and the 16 million family members and friends who provide them with care; some of those people are people I have loved and still do.
The Ride to End ALZ is a fully-supported, one day fundraising event where every dollar raised supports the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to discover methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer’s disease.
This year, I am seeking pledges for each mile I can ride in the 6:35 it took me last year to ride the century. Please go to this Google Form to register your pledge and read more about my efforts: https://forms.gle/po58NH5GuXsTnUhp6
With each mile I ride, I am raising funds to advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s. Thank you for cheering me on.
