Bring on Winter!!

Please join us in celebrating the Shortest Day on Friday, December 20th at Evanston Golf Club with some round robin paddle starting at 1 pm.  We will have courts reserved from 1 - 3 pm and will have time to toast the holidays and the Winter Solstice after play.   We have spots for 16 people but can expand it if we have more interest.  

As many of you know, many of us have loved ones who we have lost to this awful disease and others have family members who are still suffering.  We started this event in December of 2022 with the intent of raising awareness about the Longest Day, a fundraiser typically done around the summer solstice to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.  That also coincided with the opening of the new paddle hut at EGC.   

What better day to toast the holidays and fight the darkness of Alzheimer's and winter than on the Shortest Day?  Please join us on December 20th, and participate by making a donation of $100 (or any amount of your choosing) to this important cause. With your donation families can receive support on their Alzheimer’s journey, promising research can advance toward a future without Alzheimer’s and lives can — and will — be changed. We all really hope for a world without Alzheimer's.
