The history and commencement of the “Ladies Tea Party” is very simple and uncomplicated.  In the early part of 2013, four friends casually went shopping as usual. We eventually found ourselves in Home Goods and happened upon the most beautiful tea-sets to which we all agreed had to be purchased. It did not take long before we figured out the best way to utilize them; and so, we formed the Ladies Tea Party so that we could help and give aid to health issues close to our hearts. I am so happy to say that from that moment of agreement and togetherness, we have accomplished more than we could have ever imagined:  

• The first Tea Party Event was for Breast Cancer in 2014

• The second Breast Cancer event was held in 2016

• The third event was in 2018 for Diabetes.  

• On November 7, 2018, we were presented with a Proclamation from NYU Winthrop Hospital for Diabetes

Thanks to our dedicated family and friends we have grown tremendously, and I am so very grateful to them all.  So now that COVID has diminished significantly, it is time to get back to our labor of love and continue helping to combat health issues dear to our hearts!

Alzheimer’s has and continues to affect many homes as each of us knows of someone near or far that has this disease. It is such a theft of the quality of life as well as the dignity of the person that has it; being very painful to those who must watch their loved ones suffer through it. The March 2024 AARP Bulletin featured a special report on “The Future of Alzheimer’s” speaking to the hope and continued research of the disease!  

On June 22, 2024, we will have our 1st Ladies Tea party event since the COVID Pandemic.  The event will involve guest speakers, educational information, entertainment, and of course lots of fun and fashion!

So, ladies let’s dust off our hats, shake out our gloves, and let’s start doing what we do best. I’m looking forward to seeing my family, friends, and hopefully some new faces!!
