Our Team Story
In 2017, my college graduation was supposed to be an amazing day. However, I had a seizure after getting my college diploma and then another one the following year. This affected my mental health and lost my confidence. It was a long few years.
Then, my running journey began when I wanted to lose some weight but mentally I was getting my confidence back. Since 2021, I have run more than 30 races including running the New York City Marathon in 2023. Every race I run, I write the initials of someone that has been affected by Huntington's disease as it is a type of dementia that needs to be talked about more.
Throughout 2024, I will be raising funds and awareness for The Longest Day leading up to running my second marathon in Philadelphia on Sunday, November 24. You can put your mind into anything that you do. This cause is especially important to me as I lost my Nono (grandfather) to Parkinson's disease in 2016 and the symptoms worsened over time.
Throughout my year of running, your kindness and generosity truly make a difference in the fight against dementia can go through what he and many others suffering from dementia go through daily. Thank you for your support!
