It's not the Waterbury Open, Pepsi Pro-Am, or even the Tour Championship. It's a charitable, 4 person scramble, themed after arguably the greatest movie of all time: Happy Gilmore. This year's sub-theme will be Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. So feel free to cater to either movie!
The 18 hole event will feature a costume contest, running swing long drive event, a hockey stick putting hole, and many more surprises! Also a lunch and awards banquet will be included after the event.
Now, what is the charitable tie in? Great question. In May of 2017 the world lost Betty Jarman to her fight with Alzheimer's. Betty was my Grandma, and for those that knew her, she was easily the nicest, most caring, and lovable person you could come across.
For those who don't remember the movie in detail- Happy Gilmore is a failed hockey player who turns to golf when he needs to raise money for his Grandmother whose house got repossessed by the IRS. Happy plays golf for his Grandmother, and I want to do the same. Alzheimer's is an absolutely terrible disease that brings turmoil and pain to millions and millions of people each year. Chances are, you know someone who was has been affected by this truly awful disease. Play for them.
Not able to play? Donate here: (coming soon)

The Longest Day is the day of the year with the most light — the summer solstice. And it's the day I have committed to fight Alzheimer's disease! I’m participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, 16 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s and make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
