Welcome to our team page for The Longest Day! We are determined to help end Alzheimer’s by raising funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. As musicians we appreciate the importance of music for life and how music is a useful modality in healing. Research has shown the power of music for individuals with Alzheimer's disease to access memories, socialize with others and to reduce anxiety and agitation.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice. Our team is joining the fight! You can help by making a donation — or even joining our team — today. Our main event will be held at The Summit Senior Living facility in Hockessin, Delaware on June 7, 2024. We will provide a concert for residents and members of the community bringing the joy of music to them. You can participate wherever you are through your donations to our team's efforts.
