Our Team Story

Team Sarah To END ALZ has been participating in the Washburn Challenge (a 20 mile cycling and 7 mile kayaking event in Falmouth, Cape Cod) since the begining when host Stuart McLeod started this fundraiser to honor his sister Sara who died from early onset Alzheimer's.

Former college pal Bill Stewart (the other Stew) and former roomate Scott Forler were later joined by Betsy Hoffman to support the Alzheimer's Association at this fantastic event.  For 2024 we're adding friend Sammy Paul to the team and changing our name to honor his mother Sarah G Paul who died with Alzheimer's in 2022.

The day ends overlooking Waquoit Bay with food, music and a celebration of the group effort to raise $200,000 for The Alzheimer's Association in this year's Washburn Challenge.

We're inspired by the memory of our loved ones to support the leading Alzheimer's organization in the country to advance care and research, support families and patients, and advocate for the resources to find a cure.

So please support Team Sarah as part of the Washburn Challenge, on The Longest Day (6/22/24)-- the leading Alzheimer's Association fundraiser event of the year!

Thank you!
