This June, stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s. Join our team for The Longest Day, the day the Alzheimer’s Association calls on everyone to fight Alzheimer’s disease. Together, we'll raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

Don Desonier:

With my participation in The Longest Day, I am honoring my wife Nancy, who was diagnosed with early onset dementia in January 2008. I pivoted then from being “simply” Nancy’s husband, to being her tireless and loving caregiver - initially at home, and then when she transitioned to memory care. Nancy passed away July 4, 2012 - truly her independence day from this terrible disease.

Paul Kasprzyk:

When my wife Sheila had to be moved into a memory care unit, I reached out to the Alzheimer’s Association for advice. The monthly caregiver meetings they sponsored helped me solve many practical problems common to many caregivers and to give me much needed moral support. I am proud to be involved with this The Longest Day event that helps promote the activities of this very effective association. And as a fan of pickleball, I am looking forward to participating in a way to promote this great sport in our community.
