Our Team Story
Stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer's with Edward Jones. The Longest Day is the day with the most light -- the summer solstice. One June 20th, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through activities of their choice. You can join the Edward Jones team for the 4th Annual EJ Longest Day Throwdown. Together, we'll raise support and awareness for Alzheimer's care and research.
Step 1: Join the Team and invite your friends to join.
Step 2: Friend request Wendy Marshall in the Virgin Pulse App by Mon., June 17th. If you are already friends, you will automatically get invited.
Step 3: When you get the "EJ Longest Day Throwdown" invite on Wed., June 19th, join the challenge.
Step 4: Rack up the steps on The Longest Day, June 20th.
Step 5: If you have a photo you'd like to share, send them to Wendy (you can find me in the company directory).
Step 6: Come back here on June 24th to see who earned bragging rights as WINNER of the 4th Annual EJ Longest Day Throwdown!
In 2023, we had 176 competitors from 35 states, 103 regions and 23 departments within the firm and our 19-member team raised $1,000 to support those with ALZ! Congratulations Lianna! The 57,300 steps Lianna took on June 21st are an accumulation from her gym workout, the elliptical and then taking her pit, Nova, for a walk through the neighborhood.
In 2022, we had 197 walkers from 36 states, 99 regions, and 29 departments! Our team grew to 18! And we raised $725 and awareness for Alzheimer's care, support and research!
In 2021, we had 117 walkers from 26 states, 59 regions, and 22 departments. We also had 8 team members and 16 donors, raising $550.50!
Why? Because TEAM EDWARD JONES cares!!
