Welcome to our team page for The Longest Day! The White Columns Tennis and Pickleball Community is determined to help end Alzheimer’s by raising funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. Alzheimer’s impact on families goes beyond the individual that has the diagnosis but extends to the families that must either provide care or arrange for care. The impact on time and money expands for the patient and the families as time goes on. Families are forced to make hard choices about allocation of time, “can I go to my kids/grandkids events or do I need to help my impacted relative?” and allocation of money “can my family still afford a vacation even as we help provide for the patient?”. The patient obviously goes through changes and families can experience a loss of relationship while the patient is still alive. This has led the White Columns Tennis Community to support this worthwhile cause!
