Our Team Story
The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice. Our team is joining the fight! You can help by making a donation — or even joining our team — today.
Research has shown that yoga and meditation can help improve the quality of life and even cognitive abilities by preserving them. June 21st is also celebrated as International Yoga Day.
The Longest Day is focused on using people’s passions, hobbies and interests to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's research in any way they see fit. Well we happen to enjoy yoga so that's what we are doing today.
1. Show up for class the morning of 6/21, we have 4 classes and for every person present we will donate $5.
2. Buy a membership on this day. 50% of the proceeds will be donated.♀♂
3. Wear purple and enjoy the purple ambiance in the studio!
4. Join us for Yoga Day at PNC Park the evening of 6/21 following the Pirates game. A portion of ticket sales will be donated back to the Alzheimer's Association. ⚾
