Our Team Story
Welcome to our team page, Cards for Caring, ALZ, for The Longest Day! We are determined to help end Alzheimer’s by raising funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Encompass Health in Libertyville is hosting our gathering on Saturday, October 21st. You will have an opportunity to make 10 greeting cards for yourself. Our team loves making cards and we have prepared many different patterned papers (Christmas, Birthday, Get Well, Miss You, Chanukah, your choice of greeting). Please, join us for a relaxing afternoon of crafting (from 1PM to 5PM). We will also play games, have door prizes and silent auction items. Also, there will be tours of the facility, a new acute rehabilitation hospital.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice. Our team is joining the fight! You can help by making a donation — or even joining our team — today.
