My Story
I along with many other fine members in our community will help the fight against this horrible disease. My beloved mother June Hughes suffered from this terrible disease along with many of my friend's family members past and present.
I retired from working in a nursing home and witnessed for thirteen years, just how horrific this disease is. We need all of you to help us fight this battle and try to stop this disease from robbing and destroying so many lives.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. And these numbers will only continue to rise unless we take action.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research and provide care and support to those facing the disease today.
Our Pickleball Tournament in June to Fight Alzheimer's will be held on June 22nd at the Peru River Walkway Park Pickleball Courts on W. Canal St., Peru, Indiana
Please come to the event to see players from, Kokomo, Logansport, Marion, Wabash, Warsaw, Rochester, Plainfield, Plymouth and of course Peru to play some great pickleball.
We will also have a Silent Auction that day.
PLEASE if you are unable to participate, please consider to make a contribution in any amount to the Alzheimer's Association on my web site.
Thank you,
Barb Townsend
