My Story

This summer, I'm honoring those affected by Alzheimer's disease by participating in 48 Peaks for the Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

I lost my mother, MaryAnn, to Primary Progressive Aphasia, a rare form of frontotemporal dementia, in 2013. My father, Arthur, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and is currently in a memory care unit full time. It has been devastating to see him slip away with this disease.

I will be hiking to the summit of Mount Garfield, one of New Hampshire's 4,000ft. peaks in the White Mountains. Please donate and help me reach my goal!

In the last two years, we have made monumental progress in the world of treatment against Alzheimer's, including the first disease-modifying treatments. But, the fight is far from over. Today, over 50 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 6 million with Alzheimer's and dementia, providing over $287 billion worth of unpaid care. We must take action- now, as these numbers continue to rise. Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please donate today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
