My name is Bob Moore. I’ve joined the fight to end Alzheimer’s to honor my mother; Nancy Moore and mother-in-law; Dolores Dube. These two great women in my life suffered terribly from the devastating effects of this disease. They both lived their lives "serving and caring" for others and were loved by so many.

The Longest Day is the day with the most light — June 21, the summer solstice. On that day, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity. My friends and I are joining the fight and we need your help to end this relentless disease!

I am a National Champion Powerlifter, World Record holder and member of the MooreMuscle Barbell Club based in Odenton, Maryland. Our Team is determined to help end Alzheimer’s by raising funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. To that end, we will be conducting a Powerlifting competition featuring a number of U.S. National Champions. These National Champions will compete for the coveted Most Valuable Lifter Trophy by accumulating "points" (one dollar = 1 point) in an effort to raise much needed funds for the Alzheimer's Association. The lifter who receives the most "points" will be awarded the Most Valuable Lifter trophy.
