Hi! This is Zoey Rose! I have accepted the opportunity to participate for a 2nd year, in a special fundraiser, 48 Peaks. In June, all 48 of NH’s 4000+ footers will be summited by teams. This year I will be summiting Mt. Eisenhower.  With it’s summit at 4,783 feet, this is the 12th highest peak in NH and sits at the southern end of the Presidential Range in the White Mountains.  I had a family member die of Alzheimer’s; she loved to be outdoors and to hike. In honor of Susie Hamilton, I am continuing to accept this challenge to help support those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as those who love and care for them. 

Today, over 50 million people in the world live with Alzheimer’s and dementia, requiring over $287 billion worth of unpaid care.  Participating in this fundraiser   is a way for me and you to take action now, as these numbers keep getting bigger.

With your help, awareness will increase and we can show those facing Alzheimer’s and dementia that they are NOT alone. Thank you, to all who generously supported me and helped me meet my objective last year. I hope you’ll do so again, and be joined by new donors to help the Alzheimer’s Association.

P.s., In June, all teams will be hiking in our purple Awareness t-shirts. We will practically paint the 48 Mountains purple (which is also my favorite color)!
