My Story

I have had the pleasure of working with Alzheimer / Dementia Residents for years. At first, I thought to myself I am scared to death!! Then I thought "How am I going to do this????" I had no idea what to expect. Am I going to be frightened?? Well that day came and went. What a wonderful job to have that when you go to work you see those beautiful faces that are from ear to ear when you speak to them and show them just a little love. That's all it takes and I fell in love!!

This year and 2021 were pretty rough years for my husband and me. My husband is fighting severe depression and I was diagnosed with breast cancer I am doing great but not my husband. We ended up having to hospitalize him and they did a CT of his brain and diagnosed Dementia with his depression.

Just another reason that this day, The Longest Day has become very special to me.

So join me if you would.  Sugar Creek and the Arbors are having a fund raiser on the Longest Day.  We will be grilling hot dogs and selling them for Lunch along with a bag of chips and a soda for only $5.  Then visit our bake sale where you will be able to get Yummy goodies for yourself or whole deserts for your family.   It will be in the parking lot here at Sugar Creekl  COME JOIN US!
