Fundraising Progress
My Story
As some of you may know, Alzheimer’s Disease has wreaked havoc on my family: My paternal grandmother died from complications of Alzheimer’s when I was only 12, and my father, who just last year was in the late stages of this horrendous disease, died October 29th, 2022, unable to fully understand or recognize the people around him. I hike to honor my mother, Henrietta White, who continued to display incredible strength as his caretaker while his mind and body were ravaged by ALZ, and advocated for him in his final days at Guam Memorial Hospital.
This June, I'm honoring those affected by Alzheimer’s disease by participating in 48 Peaks for The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. I will be hiking to the summits of Mt Tom, Field, and Willey, three of New Hampshire’s 4,000ft. peaks in the White Mountains with a phenomenal group, Team Little Foot! Please donate what you can to help me reach my goal, whether it be monetary, words of encouragement, or your time to help find a cure!
