MY STORY


This June I will be participating in the 7th annual Washburn Challenge, a 20-mile bike ride, 7-mile kayak and BBQ Celebration and silent auction, taking place in Falmouth, Cape Cod, benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association.  

All funds raised help provide care and support programs for local families facing this disease, and advance research efforts for a cure.


Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 6.5 million Americans. In the United States alone, over 11 Million friends and family members are providing their care with an estimated value of $272 Billion. In 2022 Alzheimer’s and other dementias will cost the US more than $321 Billion.  


We must take action now, these numbers are rising every year.
