My Story

My mom passed away in 2022 from cancer but also had dementia. This horrible disease took away her memories and she became a shell of the person she always was. My dad is now starting down this same path with dementia and I wish a cure would come to stop others from having to experience this. The Longest Day, the day the Alzheimer’s Association calls on everyone to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

 

Annually, we go into communities nationwide to collect donations for local Alzheimer's Association chapters and raise awareness of the disease. For every contribution, we distribute Forget-Me-Not flower seeds, asking they be planted in honor of the more than 5 million people living with Alzheimer's.
