My Story

This June, I'm honoring those affected by Alzheimer’s disease by participating in 48 Peaks for The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.


This year, as last year, I will hike and fundraise in memory of my Grammy G, who had dementia, and for my Auntie Joyce, who is currently living with dementia. Please make a donation and help me reach my goal!   


Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5.7 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 16 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia, providing over 18.4 billion hours or unpaid care.  We must take action now, as these numbers will continue to rise.
