to fight Alzheimer's
My Story
On Sunday, June 9, from 2pm to 6pm we will come together at Diversey River Bowl, 2211 W Diversey, Chicago to bowl, have pizza and refreshments, and to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Laura Laney.
I am asking each participant to donate a minimum of $50 to the event. When making your donation please indicate in the personal note box how many in your party will be bowling.
Included is all bowling, shoe rental, pizza and soft drinks. There will also be a silent auction with a variety of merchandise and services. Additionally, we will have a raffle. 100% of all funds collected will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association. All expenses for the event will be covered by the owners of Diversey River Bowl and Carter Laney. So please be generous. If you would like to donate anything to the silent auction, please email Carter at carcamlane@yahoo.com.
A few words on Laura's story. Shortly before she turned 50 she was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease. It steadily progressed until she passed at 56. At the end Laura was unable to talk, walk, and could not recognize any of her family or friends. You would not wish this upon anyone. We must do whatever we can to cure this disease. This is the reason for this benefit.
The Power of a Donation
