My Story
My sorority sisters have gotten together nearly every year for the past 30 years to celebrate a 55 year friendship. This was our last get together before Covid-19 & we took this picture to send to our dear friend, Susan Moss Ewald, who wasn't able to attend for the first time that year, as her Alzheimer's had gotten too bad for her to travel. We missed her greatly & wanted her to know that we were thinking of her. Shortly after this she passed away, so we have now all lost our dear friend. Many of us (and probably most of you) have also lost many other family members & friends, as Alzheimer's is a relentless killer! Susan is just one of many reasons why I'm so passionate about supporting the Alzheimer's Assn, including my granny, Jo Farnsworth, my sister in law, Gail Magley, my brother in law, Jim Seitz, my cousin Sandy Miller Frick, & many dear friends of our family.
Please participate in a Longest Day Event of your choice & help to raise the money needed for research & support of the many families that are effected by Alzheimer's. I will be playing several competitive bridge games that week & the entry fees for those games will be donated by the various online Bridge Clubs & the American Contract Bridge League to The Alzheimer's Association, as will any donations made to support my efforts. If you don't know of a local Longest Day event, you can click on this link to add to those donations.
