This summer I will be participating in the 8th annual Washburn Challenge. Alzheimer's is not slowing down so neither can we!  Along with 100 others, I will ride my bike for 20 miles and then kayak 7 miles out and around Washburn Island, all to raise awareness and vital funding to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Alzheimer's Association needs our support. This virus has disproportionately affected the Alzheimer's and dementia community.  I encourage you to take a minute to visit and share their website with COVID-19 resources in response to issues and concerns specifically related to dementia during this time. www.AlzHereForYou.org

Please help me reach my fundraising goal!  Your donation will not only help local families facing this disease, but will also get us one step closer towards a first survivor.

Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 6 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 11 Million friends and family members are providing their care with an estimated value of $256.7 Billion. In 2021 Alzheimer's and other dementias will cost the US more than $355 Billion.

We must take action now, these numbers are rising.
