My Story
Hello! It’s that time of year again, and Team SISU is gearing up for its 10th annual Longest Day Challenge hike, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. As many of you know, I participate in honor of my mother, Fern Wingate, who was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease in her early 60’s. She passed away a few years later at the ‘way too young’ age of 70. Since her passing, I have been very involved with care for the elderly, and see firsthand the devastating effects of this horrific disease.
I HOPE TO EXCEED MY FUNDRAISING GOAL OF $3000, AND WOULD DEEPLY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT, NO MATTER HOW LARGE OR SMALL YOUR DONATION ... $5, $10, $20 is great!
