The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 21, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice. Will you join the fight with a donation today?

My loving mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in her mid 60’s, and sadly passed away at the young age of 76. I think about her every day and miss her terribly! She truly was my best friend! It makes me so sad to think about all the wonderful things in mine and my family’s lives that she missed out on experiencing. I know how proud she would be of all of us. I think about how afraid she must have felt when she started forgetting, as she witnessed this horrific disease in her mother. I hope and pray every day for a cure for this awful disease that robs one of their mind and body.
