My Story
I’ve joined the fight to end Alzheimer’s! I’m participating in The Longest Day to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. My first experience with dementia came very early in my life with my grandfather moved into our home due to an inability to remain home alone. Over a few short years I watched him progress from living independently, to living with family, moving into an assisted living and then to a more traditional nursing home. His struggles affected our entire family. I hope that the research funded by this project will help to decrease the struggles that other families will experience in the future.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 20, thousands of participants from across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through a fundraising activity of their choice. Will you join the fight with a donation today?
Your donation means so much, to myself and to all those affected by the disease. Many of you know that I have made dementia care and work with those with Alzheimer's a special effort in my career. Working with caregivers around the country providing care to those with Alzheimer's I see the impact of Alzheimer's Disease every day. Every dollar that you donate helps this cause. On behalf of more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and over 11 million caregivers — thank you.
The Power of a Donation
