Named for the summer solstice - the day with the most light - The Longest Day is a fundraising event in which people from across the world fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s and all dementias through a fundraising activity of their choice.  

Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with some form of dementia, including more than six million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 11 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.

Please join me and Bill in standing up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s and all dementias. Together, we'll raise funds and awareness for research, support, and patient care — it’s time to put an end to the darkness. 

We do this to honor my Mom, whose integrity and kind nature made us better people for knowing her. You are the sunshine and moonshine, and all the shine in between. You are the light, Mom, and we celebrate you and all the love you gave us.
