Our Team Story
Join our team for The Longest Day, a day that’s all about love for all those affected by Alzheimer's disease. On June 17th, we’ll do what we love to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The core of our team is myself and my two brothers, Ernie and Jim. We support the Alzheimer's Association and ask for your support, any donation is greatly appreciated, if you are unable to donate (or in addition to your donation) we encourage you to join us as we Ride for Hope. If you are unable to join us we encourage you to participate with another group or create your own event. Please share with others.
We Ride for Hope, our mother. She has severe dementia; she experienced traumatic brain injury in her teens from two very serious car accidents. Our mother raised us mostly on her own, she gave us everything she had to give and we never ever questioned just how much she loved us. She taught us right from wrong, she embraced our friends like they were family, she supported us in any and all ventures, and she was always on our side.
Our Longest Day - June 17th (Saturday). We will ride from The All In Pub in Vernonia, Oregon to Astoria and South on Hwy 101 to Lincoln City, then back towards the valley on Hwy 18. Join us wherever you can and break off where you need to. Wearing purple and posting on social media is strongly encouraged. (#endalz #thelongestday #rideforhope)
Losing the mother we knew, that loved and adored all of her children and grandchildren, that remembered everyones birthdays and anniversaries is hard, it's truly indescribable. It's something no one should have to go through. But even worse is what our mother has endured, what she has gone through, what she is going through.
