Fundraising Progress

My Story
“When you have your health, you have everything!” - Grandma Abbie Harris
From this fullness, I want to let you know that I am training for my second LA Marathon- March 19th, 2023! This is also the second year I am raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. My relationship with the Alzheimer’s Association has grown since getting involved last year as a fundraiser.
Mom, the amazing, and beautiful June Culp continues to face the challenge of living with Dementia. For my family (like many others) the day-to-day challenges of taking care of a loved one are overwhelming. Yet, she remains the musical beautiful ray of joyous light she has always been, albeit with some limitations. At 91, she is a wonder of strength, grace, and wisdom - and we are sooo thankful for her.
I recently attended the Alzheimer’s Association National Summit and met volunteers, staff, and board members from all over the country- most of whom have been personally impacted by the disease and who are passionately using their energy, time, and God-given gifts to raise funds, build awareness, and advocate for the cause. All this to say that in the midst of such a debilitating disease, there remains HOPE!
I’m running again this year in honor of my Mom June Culp, my Aunt Carmelita Culp, and faithful family friend Bob Andrews. If there’s someone in your family or a dear friend you’d like me to honor in my run, please let me know their names and I will add to my list.
Thank you all SO much last year for your generous donations that totaled $6,428 and made me the 3rd top fundraiser across all activities in Southern California in 2022. I humbly ask that you please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association again this year!! Follow link in bio to donate!
