I am
playing Pickleball
to fight Alzheimer's

My Story
I am 73 and have been playing pickleball for about 8 years. One thing I know, it is great for mind and body! There have been studies demonstrating improvement in short term memory and mobility.
To that end, I watched as my mother’s superior memory faded over time. Though never diagnosed with AD, she did have cognitive defects for which Aricept helped. Plus since playing and meeting so many people, I know one man who is now 80 and has been diagnosed with mild Alzheimer’s Disease. Perhaps because he plays pickleball, his is mild while his brother has more serious issues with AD.
I support The Longest Day and Alzheimer’s Disease research because of people like my mother, my pickleball friend, my wife’s Aunt who died of complications from Alzheimer’s and her Uncle Sonny (different family) who also died after having lived with Alzheimer’s for several years. I know the toll it takes on the loved ones who have to live with and care for these folks with Alzheimer’s and want to do what I can to either prevent, slow or cure this scourge.
Stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s and make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
