In honor of my Dad, and his battle with Alzheimer's and dementia, I will be running the New York City Half Marathon on March 20th. This disease is the epitome of cruel. I watched it take everything from him, and the sadness in his eyes before he died is something that I will never forget. I know I'm not alone...this disease touches so many loved ones and their families. My hope is to use running, an activity that I love so much, to help fight back...it's the least I can do.
