The Longest Day is the day of the year with the most light -- the summer solstice. And it's the time of year I've committed to fight Alzheimer's disease! I'm participating in The Longest Day in memory of Alexis Zubow, my mother, who battled this disease for more than a decade and lost that fight on February 10, 2020.

On Sunday, June 26 I will host our 5th Annual Pancake Breakfast to honor my mom's memory. Come hungry for pancakes anytime from 8:30-10:30 am at the Bella Lago Pool Pavilion, 2707 Demona Drive. Looking forward to celebrating my mother with each of you.

Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, 16 million friends and family members are providing their care. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
