Our Team Story
Monday, June 21st, the longest day of the year, is a day of honoring. This day in the Alzheimer’s community is noted as “THE LONGEST DAY”. It honors Alzheimer's patients, their caregivers and families, victims of Alzheimer's and other dementia related diseases around the world.
This year, the Purple Crusaders, a group which consists of area citizens, will be walking to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. The money raised will we be used for research to help find a cure.
We will start at Arrowhead Park, Cheraw, SC on Monday, June 21st, at 7:45am. Come complete the 12 mile walk through town OR join us for a portion of the walk. Whichever you wish! The main objective is to raise money and bring awareness to this awful disease.
Hydration stations will be provided along the way.
We are asking everyone to consider a minimum donation of $12.00. One dollar per mile. Donate by going to act.alz.org/goto/teampurplecrusaders or Venmo @ChipIngram1.
Those that would like to participate in the walk in any capacity, please contact Chip Ingram at 843.910.2668 or email him at email@example.com for details by June 14th. Not walking? We will have an opening ceremony at the park at 7:45am for those of you that would like to cheer us on!
