Our Team Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit our page, Rush For Cure. The name couldn't fit our objective and Chris DiPietro any better. As a lifelong, die-hard Rush fan he has inspired us to create this page with the vision of finding an expedient cure for Alzheimer's disease. The family of Chris DiPietro established this page with one mission in mind:
To bring together a community of people to focus on raising awareness, creating resources, and building a support group for those impacted by younger on-set Alzheimer's.
For those unfamiliar with our story or Chris DiPietro, well, here's your opportunity to learn a little more. Chris DiPietro was 55 years old when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2019. Prior to this many doctors believed he was suffering from depression or stress. But as a family we knew something was just not right, since Joe DiPietro, his father, a few years prior passed away due to the disease. Since he was so young many professionals overlooked Alzheimer's as the cause to his memory and other symptoms. Ever since the diagnosis it has been admittedly hard on his family. Lives have changed. Roles have changed. Futures have changed. The worst part of it all is that sometimes it felt we were alone. Which is why we have come together as a family to fight and spread awareness of Younger On-Set Alzheimer's. As part of our mission, we want to grow our community and connect with people who are going through the same things. Life is not meant to be lived alone which is why we ask for all your support, love, and anything you can do to help, whatever that may be. It could be joining our team, donating to Alzheimer's association through our group, reaching out to us to chat or catch up, or it can even be as simple as keeping us in your prayers.
When a community of people come together anything is possible and we believe better days are ahead with you all on our side no matter what happens.
Again, We appreciate you taking the time to learn more and please reach out, we will love to hear from you.
