Our Team Story
On June 21, I'm participating in The Longest Day, an event to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those facing Alzheimer's disease. My great-uncle Lester Daniel suffered with Alzheimer's disease, and while it was never diagnosed, I believe Lester's brother, Bill, my grandfather, also suffered from dementia in his later years.
Sometime before June 21, my team will take time play games as a family to raise awareness and funds for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. We will do this to honor the memory of Grandpa Bill and Uncle Les.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. And these numbers will only continue to rise unless we take action.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone. Please consider making a donation of $20 or more to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research and provide care and support to those facing the disease today. If you'd like, please take time before June 21 to bring your family around you and play games together as a family. You can join my team or even start one of your own.
Alzheimer's disease impacts all of us. Whether you have a loved one who is currently living with the disease, or you have had someone pass with the disease; or if you are someone with a brain; we are all at risk of being impacted by this devastating disease.
Join the fun and make a difference!
