Our Team Story
Penelope and Gia have grown close over their love of running. After months of long-distance training and a postponed December marathon, they decided to put on their own marathon around the Park Cities on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association. They will run not only for Penelope's grandmother, but for every warrior battling this devastating disease. Please join Penelope and Gia in their fight against Alzheimer's either physically on December 12th at one of the marathon mile stations or virtually by sending your support and donations through this page! As we run 26.2 miles for a cure, we hope you will consider matching $26.20 (or any amount—$1 is NOT too small!) for one, too! We greatly appreciate your support!
Attached below is the map of the 26.2 mile course around the Park Cities. STARRED are the aid stations (every 4 miles), the start line, and the finish line, at which they would love supporters. Bring posters, paper cups (preferably!) with water or bottled sports (electrolyte) drinks, or snacks to hand out to Penelope and Gia as they run.
Start: 8:00 am at Germany Park
