I am
playing Mah Jongg
to fight Alzheimer's
with my team
My Story
The "longest day" to some can feel like when you are waiting for your Mahj tile to be thrown; for others, it can be the day you are caring for someone with dementia.
For the Alzheimer’s Association, The Longest Day is a DIY fundraising event centered around the day with the most light – the summer solstice. And it’s the day the Alzheimer’s Association
calls on everyone to fight Alzheimer’s disease by raising funds and awareness for care, support and research efforts.
This year, The Alzheimer’s Association has a unique opportunity to engage Mah Jongg players, which is where I became involved! I am forming a team in memory of my sister, Judy Stern, who passed away from Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 64. I invite you to donate to my team at act.alz.org/goto/ruthelliott. No amount is too small!
Please feel free to share this this post, we want to spread the word as far as possible!
Thank you on behalf of all the families touched by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
