is fundraising to honor:
my mother, Maureen D. Lockwood
My mother, Maureen D. Lockwood, died of Alzheimer's in April of 2014. She was a strong, stubborn, intelligent woman who raised a family of equally strong-willed people. Her spirit and strength lives on in me, and I've decided to commit my time and effort to raising funds on a yearly basis through this bike ride. Please consider donating to this cause and to continue fighting with me.
New for 2021: I'm GOING ACROSS THE STATE!
On June 17th, I'll depart Hamlin, PA and make a four-day journey to Pittsburgh, to the Greater PA Alzheimer's Chapter headquarters. The distance is just about 80 miles per day, for a total of 320 miles. It's a distance that may seem long to some, but it's one that pales in comparison with the struggle of those with Alzheimer's and other dementias, and for their friends and caregivers.
Stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s and make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
The Power of a Donation
The dollars you raise fuel the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
