is fundraising to honor:
her grandmother, Elsie
On June 26, our team will hold a tennis gathering and walk to honor my grandmother and those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. I’m participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. I am honoring my grandmother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2009. Many of our friends in the community also have loved ones who have been affected. Our family has been directly impacted, but the Alzheimer's Association has helped us in many ways.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's cause. You can also join me by registering for the Longest Day and participating with us on June 26, 2021 at the Eddie Floyd Tennis Center in Florence, SC from 9:00am - 1:00pm ET. to honor my grandmother and hero. Or, a person that you love affected by this disease. Unlike many in our country, I am fortunate to still have my grandmother. As she continues her fight everyday against Alz, I will do all that I can to champion for her and so many others. Thank you!
