Our Team Story
Rosie and her friends usually host a coffee and lemonade stand at the Kensington train station. That's not possible this year, but last year our homegrown peaches stole the show so we're going all-in on Rosie's Peach Stand!
On The Longest Day, Saturday, June 20, please swing by for some homegrown peaches and support Rosie as she raises funds to support all those affected by Alzheimer's disease! Or join our Facebook live streams for the harvest at 8am and Noon to contribute online!
We suggest a $5 donation for each half dozen peaches. Bring exact change or contribute online. They'll be waiting for you on the front stoop of 10009 Connecticut Avenue starting at 9:00 AM on Saturday until we post that they've run out for the day. More may ripen for drop-off deliveries on later days.
We'll keep you safe by harvesting with mask and gloves and will say thank you through our glass door. The peaches are healthy too with no pesticides, although that may mean you'll find one or two with a harmless worm.
You'll find 10009 on Northbound Connecticut Avenue. We ask that you park on Everett or Dresden Street rather than blocking the driveway.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone.
The Power of a Donation
The dollars you raise fuel the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
