Our Team Story

For the past 2 years, the Great Lakes Women's Soccer League has supported the efforts of Brandi Becker-Wright, an employee of the Alzheimer's Association, and a player in the GLWSL, in fundraising and raising awareness as part of The Longest Day. The Longest Day is a signature fundraising event where we all band together in whatever way we choose, doing something we love, to stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer's disease and all dementias on the days of summer with the most light.

This year, the league has decided to become even more involved and is ramping up their efforts to help us put an end to this devastating disease.  Together, we'll raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

Here, you will find the LEAGUE page for the overall event which, for the past two years has been named Kicking Grass, Ending ALZ.  Together we have set a goal to raise a minimum of $2,000.  The league will be competing within itself to help accomplish that goal, but our overall progress will be tracked here!
