is fundraising to honor:
his Nonna, Valerie Garaventa.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! This March, I’m participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association in memory of my Nonna, Valerie Garaventa, who passed away after battling Alzheimer's for over a decade. I'll be running 13.1 miles in the United Airlines Half Marathon in NYC with a goal of raising over $3,000.
Today, an estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with Alzheimer's or other dementias, including more than 5 million Americans. 1 in 10 people age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's, and that number jumps to 1 in 3 at age 85 and older. Alzheimer's is a cruel disease and even a small donation goes a long way in getting us closer to understanding, treating, and ideally one day curing it.
Stand up to the darkness of Alzheimer’s and make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you so much for your support - it means the world to me. I'll post updates on progress on my instagram page: @ternaniel. With love - Dan
