The Longest Day Tennis Relay
is fundraising to honor:
In 2014, my father and mother attended an ALZ event in their town of Pinehurst, NC. The event included a short talk and the showing of the Glen Campbell movie: I’ll Be Me. Before the movie the audience was offered an indicator test. My mom had no problem meeting the 35 score you needed. My dad, he scored a 20. Not long after that time, we effectively lost our father to ALZ, the most common form of dementia. Now my friends and I want to help. We are channeling our love of tennis into a fun, educational all-day tennis relay event. This event is in cooperation the ALZ Association (alz.org) chosen summer solstice theme - the longest day of the year - to be the day of the sunrise to sunset relay event to support those facing the disease. Events can be held anytime of the year. At our event we expect to see over 100 people at our courts throughout the day. Please view our team page for details about the event. We'd love to see you there!
If you cannot make it but want to donate, you can do that right here on this page. Thank you so much!!!
