When I close my eyes, I can still remember how it felt to cross the finish line of my first half marathon in Santa Monica in March of 2019. On that day, my family came to cheer me on and my 7 year old son decided to run the last mile with me. He was the one who handed me my medal for the half marathon - it was epic! I used to think that 10 miles was a very long distance and then I ended up running it at least twice a month after only starting the training 3 months prior. I’m very grateful to GRF for the opportunity, support and training provided. The coach and running group were great. There were runners at all levels and I managed to find runners that had my pace and we stayed together and we got stronger and stronger with every run. You can always accomplish more as a team than individually. I know you agree with me on this. I feel the same about raising funds for Alzheimers – one step at a time and one individual goal at a time we can reach our team’s goal. Alzheimers disease affects over 3 million people every year and we need to find a cure. Therefore, I encourage you to come join us on the running trails and support this great cause.
