is fundraising to honor:
her friends and family affected by Alzheimer's. It's time to find the first survivor.
Each of us probably has a story to tell about someone we love who has been afflicted with Alzheimer's.
I have a friend named Judy. We've planned, led, traveled and laughed together many times sharing the joys of membership in Alpha Delta Kappa. Judy is lost to Alzheimer's now, living in a community with others whose minds have been affected by Alzheimer's and dementia.
On June 21, I'll be honoring those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. I’ll be participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. I hope that each of my Alpha Delta Kappa sisters and other caring individuals will take up the challenge to support research to find a cure for Alzheimer's.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
