is fundraising to honor:
her mother, Margaret, who is living with Early-Onset Alzheimer's.
When I was only 21, and she was only 57, Mamma was diagnosed with Early-Onset. It's been a journey for our family and friends, and in particular for her and her husband Vince.
If you know us, you know that we choose to show up with joy every day everywhere we go. As a family, we're very passionate not only about supporting one another but also supporting the entire #EndAlz community.
The Alzheimer's Association supports caregivers and their families, and tenaciously advocates for them on both local and national levels. These donations help us make sure more people and families living with Alzheimer's are happier, healthier, and safer in a system that can be very difficult to navigate and finance.
Running has been an integral part of my personal story. I started running about a year after Mamma was diagnosed, and little did I know how much it would teach me about my physical and mental health. This sport has been a way to actively work on and maintain a connection with my body and mind positively, and choose to partake in a lifestyle that helps me think long-term.
Please help us plan for the future to #EndAlz by supporting this cause.
& if you don't have the means to donate - come out for a run with me in Brooklyn!
