My Story

On June 20th, I'm participating in The Longest Day, an event to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those facing Alzheimer's disease. My team will play Bridge to raise funds for the  support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.

Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. And these numbers will only continue to rise unless we take action.

Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research and provide care and support to those facing the disease today.

Carteret County Bridge Club, along with ACBL Unit 119, will be hosting a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association on Thursday, June 20 starting at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Morehead City. It will include lunch, door prizes, raffles and a 3 section sanctioned Bridge game directed by Marie Killoran.

Price of admission is a $20 minimum donation. Checks are to be made payable to CCBC/Alzheimer's Association.

To sign up, contact Susan Cetner by phone at (252) 622-4488 or text at (252) 623-9076 text or email at Include full names of both partners, their ACBL numbers and if they will be playing in the Open Pairs, 299r's or under 50 section. All reservations must be made and paid for by June 12.

Payments can be sent to: CCBC/Alzheimer's c/o Susan Cetner, 2005 Farmstead Ct, Morehead City, NC 28557
